"All of us do not have eqaul talent but all of us have eqaul opportunities to develop our talent." - Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

I would like to proudly say that M. D. College has been selected as "The Best College for 2014-15" from Mumbai University, a much awaited moment for the whole MD Family.

MD provides platform for every student to develop his or her own talent to achieve their goals in academics, sports, drama, NSS and NCC. Student empowerment is the Mantra and it happens through various forums. Extracurricular activities are the forte of the college. Winning the coveted 1st prize at the state level Drama Competition "Sawai" is a feather in our cap. Our M.Com. student Miss Neelam Rane, being selected as Miss University has made the college proud. The NSS unit of the college has achieved a lot in the area of social commitment and responsibility. They have taken up many socially oriented projects putting the college in limelight and thereby making the students good human beings and confident leaders. Winning the state level Road Safety Awareness Award at the hands of Hon. Chief Minister Devendra Phadanvis is another coveted achievement. A CSR initiative of Union Bank of India, the Department of Psychology has contributed to student development in the area of hygiene and nutrition, environment awareness and life skills. Similarly in sports, Ms. Simran Mungekar and Ms. Veena Patil, Kabaddi players have represented Kabaddi at the National Level.

Internatinal linkage is one more milestone achieved in the history of M. D. College. The college also has a linkage with NGO 'Academy of Earth Sustainability' for creating environment awareness among students. 15 of our students and 3 teachers visited Sweden on an International Exchange Programme from 15th to 27th May and worked on the theme "Water Pollution in the Baltic Sea and Solid Waste Management". College will continue its International collaboration with Global Gymnasiet College, Sweden on "Environment Awareness" for another 3 years.

It is our mission to empower learners to grow academically, socially and emotionally by developing and supporting independent thinking and strive for excellence throughout the year. We are continuously working towards student involvement and participation in activities to make education purposeful. The opportunities available at MD College are aimed at the growth of every student individually and academically. I look forward to continue working with staff, students and parents to make it an experiential working towards the achievement of their ultimate goals.
